Jessica Leck - Facilitator, Program Strategist and Conservation Ecologist

  • Club Taree 121 Wingham Road Taree, NSW, 2430 Australia (map)

Sharing wonders of Antarctica through a Homeward Bound leadership program

Jessica Leck is a facilitator, program strategist and conservation ecologist who works alongside communities to centre their leadership in environmental programs, designing for systems change through collaboration, strategy and clear communication.

In 2023, Jessica was selected as one of 100 women worldwide to join Homeward Bound, a global leadership initiative for women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine, through a year long online training program culminating in a three-week voyage to Antarctica in early 2025.

In her presentation, Jessica will share insights from this transformative experience, reflecting on what Antarctica can teach us about leadership, resilience and our collective responsibility in the face of climate change. Her reflections, titled Where the Whales Lead, explore the deep personal and planetary connections that bind us to this extraordinary place and remind us why the future of Antarctica is inseparable from our own.
