Julie Higgins – Manager of Child Care Services Taree & Districts Inc. has been working in the not-for-profit sector for almost 45 years. Since 2005 with Child Care Services Taree & Districts Inc. the past 13 years as Manager, over those years there have been many changes in the service and in the industry, the services focus has always been on programs that support families and children, from childcare, parenting and parent wellbeing programs, literacy and disability programs.

Supporting parents in their parenting role has become a passion, bringing many challenges and many rewards as well.

“45 years ago, it wasn’t my intention to become involved in anything other than childcare but here I am today delivering a diverse range of support programs to the community.

This often leaves me wondering “how did I get here?”
