Julie Tickle’s journey from growing up in Narrabri to becoming Chief People Officer at TAFE NSW reflects the power of authentic, people-centred leadership.
Her regional upbringing instilled a grounded perspective and a deep appreciation for community, relationships and understanding the diverse experiences of others.
Today, Julie leads workforce strategy for one of Australia’s largest education organisations, supporting a workforce of approximately 15,000 people. Her time with TAFE commenced in Taree in 2002 and now with more than 20 years of experience, leads a highly dispersed workforce, creating connection regardless of location. Julie remains living locally and is passionate about the future of work, she regularly shares insights on workforce trends, the impact of AI in organisations, and the practical skills leaders need to help teams navigate change with confidence, clarity and curiosity.
